Music To My Ear is proud to be a sponsor of 102.5 WDVE’s Pittsburgh Power Ballad Challenge.
Do you love Pittsburgh? Can you show that love at around 70BPM? If so, then DVE wants you to compose your own original truly epic Power Ballad!!!!
What should be included in the ballad:
- The Ballad must be a minimum of :60 Seconds and may not exceed Three (3) minutes in length
- Must have at least (2) Verses and (1) Chorus-(Repeated)
- A Pittsburgh Reference must be used.
- The balled must then be uploaded to YouTube and the link submitted below.
On May 10th, a Panel of Judges will choose (3) of the Power Ballads submitted as the Finalists.
On the Morning of Wednesday, May 22nd the (3) Finalists will be asked to perform their Ballad in the DVE Coffee House.
A Panel of Judges, made up of local music industry representatives, will choose the Winning Power Ballad-Contestant.
The Grand Prize would be the following:
- A live performance of the winning song at Stage AE before The Clarks show on Saturday, June 22nd.
- Two (2) tickets to see Def Leppard and Journey at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
- One (1) night of hotel accommodations (double occupancy) on Saturday, July 27th at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown hotel .
- Two (2) tickets to see Styx and Foreigner at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, PA on Wednesday, July 30, 2024.
- One (1) Spindeck Turntable Speaker from Music to My Ear
- One (1) Spinbase 2 Semi Automatic Turntable from Music to My Ear
- One (1) Spin-Clean Limited-Edition Beatles “Red” OR “Blue” Record Washer Kit from Music to My Ear
